Welcome to Preston Park Primary School, a vibrant, inclusive and ambitious community where children are inspired to achieve, to lead and to believe in their futures. Preston Park is a school defined by high expectations, strong relationships and a relentless commitment to excellence.
I have been part of the Preston Park community for nearly a decade. During that time, I have seen the school grow, evolve and strengthen. It is a privilege to now serve as Interim Head of School and to lead the next phase of our development. My long-standing connection to the school gives me both deep knowledge of our community and absolute clarity about the standards we must uphold. We honour what has brought us here, and we are uncompromising about where we are going next.
Our vision is clear. Every child will experience transformational learning. This means a curriculum that is ambitious, coherently sequenced and rooted in strong subject knowledge. It means teaching that is consistently high quality, responsive and inclusive. It means classrooms that are calm, purposeful and intellectually vibrant. And it means children who leave us articulate, knowledgeable and confident, ready for the demands of secondary education and beyond.
We are determined that every pupil, regardless of starting point or background, will achieve exceptionally well. Reading is central to our work because it unlocks the entire curriculum. Attendance is a priority because presence matters. Inclusion is non-negotiable because belonging drives success. We are strengthening consistency across every classroom so that high standards are not variable, but guaranteed. Excellence here is not an aspiration; it is the expectation.
Preston Park is proudly diverse and deeply rooted in its community. Our families bring richness, resilience and aspiration, and we work in close partnership to ensure children thrive. One of the things families often tell us they value most is our openness and our unwavering care. Safeguarding is visible and robust. Wellbeing is prioritised. Children are known as individuals and supported to flourish both academically and personally.
Leadership at Preston Park is values-led and impact-driven. We are investing in our staff, developing expertise and creating a professional culture grounded in integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement. We reflect carefully, act decisively and hold ourselves to account for the outcomes our children deserve.
As part of The Barham and Preston Park Federation, we are strengthening our capacity even further. Federation gives us strategic alignment, shared expertise and greater leadership depth, while preserving the unique identity and community spirit that define Preston Park. Together, we are building stronger systems, sharper practice and wider opportunities for our pupils.
Preston Park is a school with momentum. We are building a culture where children leave us not only with strong academic foundations, but with the confidence to say, I can do this and I belong here.
