YEAR 1: kingfisher, sunbird & turaco

Welcome to our home page! Here we will share information related to what your child can be learning from home and other useful resources.

Message from the team

Dear Families of Preston Park

Bringing creative and inspiring lessons through our blended learning approach is designed to ensure that your child receives the full curriculum of education, whilst staying healthy and safe at home.

Our blended learning approach builds on the success of our curriculum delivery throughout lockdown where daily PowerPoints are available for every child. Where whole classes need to engage in remote learning from home we have online registration and tutor time built into our programme delivery.

We understand that you may be looking for additional fun and engaging educational content to continue learning at home.  There are links to a great range of fun and interactive games and online lessons for you to participate in under the Learning tab— to ensure your child’s learning never stops, wherever you are in the world.

We are happy to announce that will be rolling out phase 1 of our implementation of Microsoft Teams from Monday 25th January. Please see the tutorial below on how to login for registrations.

How to ... Guides for Microsoft Teams

We are here to support you all the way.

Best wishes

Every day there is a PowerPoint which includes all the lessons for pupils to complete for that day. View the PowerPoint as a ‘Slide Show’ so the screen will be in a maximum view and if there are any animations they can be played automatically.

Some subjects are accompanied by additional resources such as resource sheets or answer booklets. Pupils should download these and complete their work on the documents.

At the end of the week, pupils must submit their English answer booklets on Purple Mash by 4pm on the Friday of every week for their teachers to provide feedback. Guidance on how to do this via Purple Mash is available below. We look forward to seeing your wonderful work.
