A day in the life of Miss Pindoria
Dear Year One,
I hope you are all well and keeping safe during this time.
It has been lovely to see all your amazing work on Purple Mash and I am so happy with how hard you are all working. I have particularly enjoyed hearing your voices every week which has made me miss you all even more. I know this is a strange time for us all and just like all of you, I am missing my friends and family greatly but when I am not planning lessons or speaking to my lovely class, I have found new ways to keep myself busy at home.
I have started to do a lot of exercise at home and even some yoga every morning which I have found extremely calming and enjoyable as it has allowed me to remain positive during this difficult time. My mum and I have also joined in with Joe Wickes every morning which helps us to remain fit and is a great way to start the busy day. I hope you are also joining in with Joe and encouraging your family members to join in too.
As some of you already know, I love eating scrumptious food, so I have been cooking a lot of delicious recipes. The kitchen is now my favourite place in the house where I have started learning how to bake and cook different dishes. Oreo cheesecake, apple crumble and chocolate cupcakes are some of the dishes I have enjoyed baking and eating.
I live with my mum and dad so we have enjoyed spending a lot of time together. We also had an afternoon tea experience in the garden where we baked cakes, made sandwiches and had different types of tea.
When I am not working, exercising or in the kitchen, I have enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles. It is a great way of keeping myself busy and very fun too. Reading is another hobby that I have made more time for. Whenever I get some free time, I can’t seem to stop reading and I have a stack of books that I can’t wait to go through.
I hope you are all spending time with families and keeping yourselves busy doing fun things. Please keep sending in all your fantastic work and pictures of what you have been up to. I can’t wait to see your smiley faces again, but for now remember to stay safe and look after yourselves and your families!
Lots of love and miss you all,
A day in the life of Miss Clarke
Dear children and families
I hope you are all doing well and are enjoying spending some quality time with your families. I miss you all incredibly but I have really enjoyed seeing some of your photos you have shared with me on Purple Mash. Things have been very different lately, but speaking to all of my friends on the phone in Kingfisher Class has made me very happy indeed- I am so lucky to have such a hard working (and funny) class!
Apart from working at home, I have found some new ways to keep myself busy. I have gone on some lovely walks and explored my local area- I was even lucky enough to see some swans! Miss Persa has also been on some lovely walks- look at these beautiful flowers she spotted!
I have been reading lots of different books too. I found a couple of books the children in Kingfisher Class would love. I’ll give you a clue- they are some of our favourite books to read at story time… Mr Men books of course! (These ones even have pages you can colour). I also found another book, which reminded me of a familiar traditional tale we have read together. I wonder if you can guess which book it might be similar to?
My friends and I have been baking and send each other pictures of what we have made. These pretty cupcakes were made by my friends- Miss Clarke is still working on her decorating skills.
When I want to relax, I often colour in my mindfulness colouring book watch the fish in my fish tank and think about when I will be able to go swimming again.
Please keep sending me your great work on Purple Mash and when it is safe to do so, I can’t wait to see all of your wonderful smiley faces again- I sure do miss each and every one of them.
Take care and lots of love,
