A day in a life with Mrs Valentine
I am writing to you from my sofa at home where both of my cats are currently taking a break from chasing each other around the house; they even posed beautifully for this picture showing they maybe do actually love each other after all!
The grey cat is Theo and the white and tabby cat is called Jimmy. Jimmy actually moved with me from Australia (where I used to live) nearly 6 years ago! Luckily, England and Australia have the same language or I’m not sure Theo would understand him.
Over the last few weeks, I have really enjoyed creating lessons for you and have spent lots of time thinking about what might interest you and put a smile on your faces during lockdown. I miss seeing you all so much and have really enjoyed being able to speak with you all on the phone. I am so impressed at the work you are sending me and it shows me that you are all still the hard-working children I know!
This week, I have been trying to spend as much time as I can outside when the sun is shining. I have been reading David Copperfield by Charles Dickens whilst listening to the birds sing; I even found 2 magpie nests in the garden! I have also been trying to go on a brisk 2 mile walk every day, which I didn’t need to do when I was in school, because I did more than 2 miles of walking a day just in our classroom!
Anyhow, I hope you are all having a great week and are staying safe. You are all in my thoughts.
Ps. Here’s a silly joke from me:
Q: What do Pelicans eat?
A: Whatever fits the bill
