What are we learning in Spring Term?

Our topic for the Spring term is ‘Power'.

As young geographers, children will explore the characteristics of mountains and rivers.

As historians, children will explore crime and punishment through the ages.

We are also looking at the British Monarchy and the British Value of Democracy.

Homework will be given out on Monday and be due back the following Monday.

Maths homework will comprise of an arithmetic task, linked to the number facts or times tables focus of our lessons for that week; exercises linked to what we are learning in class will be available on Mathletics and a reasoning task will be included to help children to employ some of the seven key principles of mathematics. The class will share their varying strategies to help them realise how mathematicians can calculate use alternative strategies

English homework will consist of one task every week from their creative curriculum homework grid. In addition to this, children should do at least 20 minutes reading each day at home, making note of the vocabulary they read.

Class Timetables

Please see individual class timetables to see when lessons will be taught. Please ensure children bring their full school P.E. kit (all clearly labelled with their names) to school on these days.
