Using and applying mathematics within English

In English, children develop the coherence required to explain an answer or process behind an answer fluently through debate, developing a well-balanced argument and discussion. This is an important skill for a mathematician. Children learn in English to infer deeper meaning from a text and can apply this to their mathematics when problem solving.
