Attendance and Punctuality - Attend and achieve! School opens at 8.30am for pupils in reception to year 6. Please ensure your child is at school on time before 8:45am, well rested and prepared for the day ahead. Attendance and punctuality matters. Even being late 5 minutes a day has a negative impact on learning.

What does an attendance rate of 90% look like? If you have a 90% attendance record, it means that you are absent from lessons for the equivalent of one half-day every week. Danger Zone: As few as 17 missed days over the school year reduces your chances of success. There is research to suggest that GCSE results could drop by one grade across all subjects!

Good attendance at school is essential for a pupil’s education and establishes a positive working ethos early in life. 100% attendance is certainly possible, but in the event of your child being away from school it is essential that you, the parent inform the school of the reasons for absence.

If your child is ill you should telephone the school office on 020 8904 3602 between 7.30am-9:00am.  If you have not rung in, you will be sent a text message and/or a member of staff will telephone you to find out where your child is.  This is for your child’s safety and to ensure that we know they are safely with you so please be understanding if you receive a call from us.
